• Builds Brand Awareness and Trust
• Increases Visibility on Google
• Website Sales to Conversion Rates
• Increases Customer Retention Referrals
• Establishes Partnerships
• Diversifies Your Marketing

Getting Started

Setting up social media can seem a bit daunting at first, but there are a few easy steps to follow to ensure your page looks professional and complete. For example, when building a Facebook page there are a few things you’ll want to keep in mind.

Fill in the Blanks

To make sure your Facebook page looks ready and open for business, there are a few things you’ll want to consider. Adding a display picture and cover photo is necessary for your page. As visitors come to your page, you’ll want to be sure to fill out the About section as well. This is often one of the first places your audience will click on. Another thing to keep in mind is adding a call-to-action button. For example, if you have an online store on your main website, you can title this button “Shop Now”, which will take the viewer to your store.

Consistency is Key

First, be sure you include the name of your business, the telephone number at which it can be reached, and your address. If you have a logo, be sure to feature it on your social media accounts as well. This information should stay consistent with your personal website as well. Keeping your pages consistent keeps your brand recognizable to your audience.

What Now?

Alright, so your Facebook page is ready and open for business, but where is everyone? Attracting an audience and keeping them engaged with your page is the next vital task to helping you succeed. Some examples in helping you build an audience on your social media include adding links to your Facebook account on your main website, asking friends and others to follow and share your social media content, and adding signatures on your emails such as “Follow us on Facebook”.

 Don’t forget the #Hashtags

Another vital step to making sure your page gets noticed is to take advantage of hashtags. is a website that can help you find popular and related hashtags to include in your posts. For example, if you run a jewelry related Facebook, by searching the tag “jewelry” on, you will see other related examples such as “vintage”, “handmade”, “etsy”, “gift”, “fashion”, and more. Top-influencers and current trending tags are also available at the top of the page. These are the people or brands that are standing out in that tag and being talked about. If they’re related to your own content, sharing their content to your own page can help boost your audience.

Creating Content and Keeping an Audience
Types of Posts

It is important to use varying forms of content to stay engaging. You can post educational content (a dentist may post about how to get whiter teeth), inspirational content (feel good videos), entertaining content, news and industry related content, industry updates, and promotions (10% off when you use this code). However, it is important to keep in mind that inspirational and entertaining content should be used sparingly. It’s fun and interesting for your audience, but should not be the main focus of your page.

Branching Out

When you’re ready, you may want to consider branching out to other various types of social media. However, it’s important to keep in mind who your target audience is and to make sure they’re using whichever other platforms you’re considering using alongside Facebook.
